Which service do you need?

With nine similarly-named services on this page, it’s easy to end up unsure which one actually applies to you. Here’s a quick guide to help you choose — and if none of these quite fit, the answer is always the same: book a Consultation.

Not sure what’s causing your symptoms? Start with a Consultation

If you don’t recognise your situation in any of the sections below, the safest first step is a Consultation. Jo will examine your ears, confirm whether wax build-up is actually the cause of your symptoms, and can often carry out treatment in the same appointment. Book a Consultation if:

• you’re not sure what’s causing your symptoms
• you’ve never had ear wax removal before
• your usual method — cotton buds, olive oil drops, ear candles — isn’t working

Microsuction or ear wax irrigation — which do I need?

Both Microsuction Ear Wax Removal and Ear Wax Irrigation safely clear ear wax build-up, and which one’s right for you depends on the wax itself, not something you can judge beforehand. Rather than guess between microsuction or ear irrigation, book a Consultation and Jo will assess your ears and choose the right method on the day.

Can’t get to the clinic easily?

If mobility, distance, or ill health make travelling difficult, Home Visit Ear Care brings professional ear wax removal at home, wherever you are. If you live in a care home, Care Home Ear Care Visits covers this instead. Otherwise, a normal clinic appointment for any service on this page works just as well.

Booking for a child

Children need a calmer, more reassuring approach than adults. Children’s Ear Wax Removal is built around gentle, unhurried appointments specifically for younger patients.

Wearing hearing aids?
